Location

We only have limited space on the drive at The Bridge House and it is not possible to turn around so we suggest that you park on Main Street on the pavement side to avoid difficult reversing back on to the road.

The Bridge House is situated in the middle of Clanfield, on the Main Street, over a small bridge over the brook.

If you are approaching from Faringdon, you come past the sign to the Primary School and Bakery Lane and then it is the first bridge on the right (opposite the old Methodist Chapel).

If you are coming down Main Street from either Alvescot or Bampton, The Bridge House is the fifth bridge on the right after the crossroads at The Clanfield Tavern.

If you prefer to wait in Clanfield while the class is on there are numerous places to get a coffee or just relax. A few hundred yards down the road on the opposite side Blake's Kitchen is open during the day and does great tea, coffee and cakes. Otherwise The Plough Hotel and The Clanfield Tavern offer a relaxed and warm welcome with hot and cold drinks.
